What is the best phasing set to use for phasing and DC hi-pot testing?
For DC hi-pot testing and phasing, the CHANCE 5 & 16kV phasing tester is the best option available. As the 16kV DC hi-pot adapter (C4031762) halves the phase-to-ground voltage, the lower range of the dual unit can be used to see more deflection and verify if the underground cable is good (charging and then stopping) or continuing to leak current. The 16kV range allows the meter to be used on the full phase-to-phase voltage while phasing.
