Does CHANCE make a hotstick for a specific system voltage?

CHANCE produces a wide variety of insulating hotsticks that are designed and tested per ASTM F711 and IEC 60855 for use on distribution and transmission voltages.  However, hotsticks are not rated for specific voltages.  The key variable to consider is the Minimum Approach Distance (MAD) for the system voltage at the worksite.  The hotstick must provide sufficient insulated length to allow the worker to maintain MAD.

Per the above standards, the Epoxiglas™ insulated pole is 100% tested at 100kV/ft AC at the time of manufacture. Note:  This does not imply that the hotstick has a 100kV/foot rating.  Again, refer to your MAD requirement to determine the necessary hotstick length.
