Slack storage on ADSS is always located behind deadends at a pole where the stored cable is under no tension. Snow shoes are installed on the spans on either side of the pole, with the slack passing the pole twice. Opti-Loop® FOSDA assemblies for ADSS include a pole block bracket to route and protect the cable as it makes its passes by the pole.
