When applicable, PCORE recommends using UST-R mode for bushing C1 capacitance and power factor test:
- The High Voltage hook is connected to the bushing top terminal;

The
RED cable is connected to the bushing tap pin/spring, and
-
The
BLUE cable is directly connected to the bushing flange,
- Apply a voltage of 10 kV (typical)
When applicable, PCORE recommends using GAR-R mode for bushing C2 capacitance and power factor test:

The
High Voltage hook is connected to the bushing tap pin/spring;

The
RED cable is connected to the bushing top terminal; and
-
The
BLUE cable is directly connected to the bushing flange;
- Apply a voltage of 2 kV for bushing with voltage tap. For a bushing with a test tap, a voltage of no more than 0.5 kV may be applied and the test result is for reference only
